The All-Sufficient God
by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

by Peter F. Whyte, 30 Nov 2006

Cover of the book: The All-Sufficient God by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones
If you’ve always thought “The Doctor” (as MLJ was affectionately known) was a bit heavy going, then this is a good book to convince you otherwise. It is a series of sermons on Isaiah 40 that will lift your heart up, stretch your mind, comfort and challenge you. The sermons are as relevant as they were in 1954 when they were first preached. Hardly surprising when they’re expositions of the most relevant book in the world—The Bible. You will come away from this book with an enlarged vision of our all-sufficient God. A good follow on to our final studies in Philippians—God can supply all our needs.
